School Wellness Programs
1. School Mental Health Program
The mental wellness of children forms an integral component of overall development, impacting their ability to interact socially, build and foster relationships, do well in academics and manage challenging emotions. Children spend more time in school than anywhere else apart from their home, the importance of which has been long been established. As a result of this, a variety of psycho-social and mental health problems might arise, and they affect learning and academic performance in profound ways. Therefore, it has become increasingly important to address both physical and mental health concerns in school for students to perform well in academics and in different aspects of their life.
School is one of the best places for both educators and students to become increasingly aware of their psychological well-being. Understanding this need and its importance, we at Ananya offer several programs for schools as support for the school's Mental Health Initiative. Please download the brochure for more information.
2. School Outreach Program
With such an extensive education system, we understand and acknowledge that it is next to impossible for mental health professionals to be present in the day-to-day working of the school. To provide as much as help possible, we at Ananya have this flagship school outreach program where we help set up a mental health unit in the school.
